Meet our candidates
Since 2017, States Win CA Peninsula has endorsed pivotal candidates who have put and kept Democrats in control in Washington, Colorado, Maine, Virginia, Michigan, Â and Pennsylvania.
Â
In 2025 we supported three candidates running for the Virginia House of Delegates: Kimberly Pope Adams, Lindsey Dougherty, and Jessica Anderson. All three candidates had never held elected office and were running to replace well-funded Republican incumbents. Kimberly, Lindsey and Jessica all won, helping to usher in the biggest Democratic majority in the Virginia House in 40 years. We were among the earliest donors and the biggest source of phone and postcard outreach of all three campaigns.
Â
In 2025 we also supported Robyn Vining, Wisconsin Representative for District 14, who is running in 2026 for the Wisconsin Senate. Our chapter raised $14,000, 10% of the $140,000 Robyn raised in 2025, a large sum for a Wisconsin state legislative race. After Robyn’s 2025 fundraising total was reported, the Republican incumbent announced he would not run to keep the seat.Â

District 14
District 14
2024 Win 2026 Running
Representative Robyn Vining has served Wisconsin’s 14th District since 2019, she was the only Democrat that year to flip a Republican-held seat and did so by fewer than 150 votes. Since then, she has built a reputation as a tireless advocate for public education, healthcare access, common-sense gun reform, and economic fairness. From expanding Medicaid to increasing school funding and protecting Wisconsin’s parks, Robyn has consistently fought for policies that put families and communities first, showing she can deliver real results in one of the state’s toughest battlegrounds.
States Win has proudly partnered with Robyn across multiple cycles, supporting her through close, hard-fought races and helping defend this critical swing district. Now, she’s stepping up to run for the State Senate, bringing her proven record of flipping and holding competitive seats to the next level. With her pragmatic, community-focused approach and deep commitment to Wisconsin families, Robyn is ready to continue her fight for progress in the upper chamber.

Kimberly Pope Adams
Virginia House of Delegates | District 82
2025 WIN
Kimberly Pope Adams is a lifelong Virginian, born and raised in Hopewell’s Five Forks area. The youngest of three daughters, she grew up in a hardworking family—her father was a union worker at a local chemical plant and her mother was a dedicated crossing guard. As a latchkey kid at just seven years old, she understood early on the challenges working families face. With determination and perseverance, Kimberly earned scholarships to attend Virginia Tech, where she developed a passion for financial accountability. She has since built a career as an accountant and auditor, ensuring transparency in state government. Her deep connection to the traditions and culture of the Tri-Cities fuels her passion for service, and that love for her community is the cornerstone of why she’s running to serve the 82nd District.
